Job Purpose To provide a high quality front-line housing management service and be responsible for: · Ensuring the council complies with statutory obligations, good practice and government guidelines. · Managing and meeting the aspirations of tenants, leaseholders and other stakeholders. · Delivering continuous improvement.
Post holder reports to: Head of Landlord Services
Responsibility for staff Lead, manage and develop the teams responsible for ‘front line` housing service provision including customer contact points, estate management and repairs services.
Activities · Prepare, deliver and monitor appropriate customer service strategies and policies. · Ensure the council complies with statutory obligations, good practice and government guidelines · Ensure tenant and leaseholders participate in service delivery to improve the quality of the service. · Ensure the accessibility of services to diverse groups of tenants and leaseholders · Recruit and develop staff and measure their performance through regular supervision, service and work plans. · Ensure all employees are aware of and discharge their responsibilities for the council`s internal policies and procedures. · Contribute positively to the Landlord Services Management team to ensure strategies, policies and plans are co-ordinated and delivered · Put in place and maintain effective performance management systems and ensure they are used to drive performance improvement and change. · Actively benchmark the service to ensure new ideas and approaches are introduced to improve service delivery. · Ensure working practices, expenditure and staff resources are regularly reviewed and action taken to maximise efficiency and effectiveness. · Build effective external partnerships that enhance delivery of the service
